It’s June 12th ( getting hot& humid and really blustery for the last 5 days- I like it) and we have been back in NJ since the 7th – I’ve been a bad blogger. My excuse – opening a shore house and trying to get projects accomplished so we can put it up for sale. This post is for those who miss NJ – or don’t – and for those who know nothing about the state.
As we approached from Delaware we decided to forgo the highways to the shore and wander the back-roads which give a view far different then the refineries and industrial views in the north made infamous by the Soprano’s. With anticipation of seeing the Atlantic after hanging out by the Pacific we drove through farmlands, past Wawa’s, small towns and marshlands crossing the inter-coastal and finally reaching SIC ” Sea Isle City”. For those who know the town you will see old familiar sites and new ones as the town changes. Talk about changes — we now have 200 yards deep of beach, larger dunes, new pathways and new dune grass – take that Sandy.
